RFI/JOR/AMM/2021/001
The Danish Refugee Council – Jordan office would like to request information from vocational and/or technical training centers across Jordan to better understand the local market and to support its procurement process to select service providers to deliver vocational and/or technical training to participants under the RYSE project (Resilient Youth Socially and Economically Empowered).
Background:
The RYSE Graduation Approach is being implemented by a consortium of three organizations, including the Danish Refugee Council, Mercy Corps and Jordan River Foundation and comprises of carefully sequenced interventions that are delivered over 18 months to address the multidimensional nature of poverty. The interventions build the skill sets and asset base of around 600 households to build their confidence and social capital so that they can remain food secure, lead sustainable economic lives, and become more resilient. Crucial components of the Graduation Approach include:
• Technical or Vocational skills training - Technical skills training builds participants' capacity to engage in market-based livelihoods and employment activities.
• Livelihoods grants or Support for Work-based learning – Each household will be provided with one or two livelihood grants or financial support through wage subsidies to facilitate the entry to the labour market. The business or self-employment grant provides an immediate injection of capital and value to the participant's livelihoods activity that significantly increases the household's earning capacity.
DRC will be providing technical and/or vocational trainings in 2022 to around 200 – 250 beneficiaries based upon their specific needs and career pathways.
The sectors that are identified within the areas of implementation include but are not limited to:
• Information and Communication Technology (coding, web/graphic design)
• Freelancing and Remote working
• Food Processing and Agribusiness
• Agriculture
• Hospitality and Tourism
• Clean Energy and green jobs (including solar engineering)
• Textile and Apparel Manufacturing
• Mechanics (including Car Maintenance, HVAC, etc)
• Customer Service and Retail
• Business Administration (focus on micro and small businesses)
The locations where these trainings will be provided to beneficiaries include East Amman, Madaba and Karak
About this RFI
The RFI is a solicitation document used to obtain general information about products, services, prices or suppliers. It is an information request, not binding on either the supplier or the purchaser, and is often used prior to specific requisitions for items.
The purpose of this RFI is to gain familiarity with the current market for the Supply of Vocational Trainings to help in deciding technical requirements
This RFI process may help in the decision making process by developing a well-conceived solicitation document (RFP, RFQ) and clarifying the competitive requirements.
The RFI may not be used as a source selection method to procure a supply or service.

This process will not result in the selection of services providers or in any contractual obligation
