DRC is currently supporting vulnerable children in the south of Jordan. As part of this work DRC offers PSS and case management services to children from Vulnerable Out-of-Reach Communities (VOCs). Settlements housing VOCs have some of the most vulnerable households across Jordan with the majority of households being of Syrian origin. A recent national needs assessment by REACH found that the population of VOC settlements is very young with 55% of the population under the age of 18 years. Young people face multiple challenges linked to limited employment opportunities food insecurity and reduced access to education. Girls face specific additional protection threats including early marriage.
DRC seeks to hire a consultant or consultancy firm to support in the development and implementation of a piece of research focusing on children living in VOC settlements in the south of Jordan.
This is a Request for Proposal process that will be conducted using DRC standard bidding procedure and documents.
