Project Background:
Curated Experience - Developing Innovative and Diversified Touristic Products Across Jordan:
This project aims at reviving the once-flourishing tourism industry within Jordan, in light of COVID-19
devastations to the sector. The project seeks to improve on pre-existing weaknesses in the Jordanian tourism
sector; In doing so, Leaders International will enhance the competitiveness of the industry through diversifying
touristic offerings and adapting to recent travelling trends.
Moreover, the project will build the capacity of travel-experience operators through different support
mechanisms, business linkages, and training programs; to enable them to provide curated experiences to
inbound and local travelers. At the industry level, the project will cooperate with Jordanian tourism
associations to promote Jordan’s cultural, historical, and natural diversity. Local authorities will also be
involved in expanding Jordan’s current tourist base, mitigate risks associated with limited product offerings,
and lastly, enhance local tourism through increased quantity and quality of products and offerings.
Accordingly, Leaders International will not merely focus on the innovation and product development side but
will market the new travel experiences and leverage its outreach channels to speak to the needs of the
modern traveler, in Jordan and abroad.
Objective:
Development of E-tourism training platform as online resource platform for development tools, videos, etc. for
enterprise and guide development of more experiences (project learning depository)
Scope of Work:
• Design and code the portal's layout/user interface and user experience as required after consulting
with the project's team, graphic designers, and responsible communications personnel (front-end
development)
• Code or customize the website's content management system and database to host hundreds of stock
photos, video training material, reports, and presentations (backend development)
• Build login and sign-up forms to give access and create accounts for not less than 100 users.
• Ensure the portal's responsiveness to all types of screens (mobile, tablet, desktop)
• Test and troubleshoot the website and all its applications on various browsers (chrome, internet
explorer, etc.).
• Test the website for bugs, security issues, errors, and user friendliness
Deliverables:
• eLearning, Media and Trip management system
• Organizes eLearning content in one location
• Tracks learner progress and performance
• Searchable library of Stock photos, Footages
• Users will be able to Enroll courses
• Users will be able to download Media such as (stock photos and Footages)
• Trip planner (Create and manage trips for the customers)
Duration: February- April 2023
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field
• 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in web support
• Knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Laravel, and CodeIgniter
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, Ajax
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay, etc.)
• Previous experience creating scalable application
• Advanced understanding of personal computers and wide variety of software applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement project plans
• Good problem-solving ability, initiative, creativity and judgement
